Description

The Interagency Group on Technical and Vocational Education and Training worked on this publication to focus on Work-based learning (WBL) as the process that encompasses various learning experiences that take place within an actual workplace environment. It provides individuals with the essential skills needed to secure, retain, and progress in their careers and professional growth. Typical forms of work-based learning include apprenticeships, internships, traineeships, and on-the-job training, which often combine practical workplace experience with classroom instruction, though not always.
