This report investigates gender equity throughout the global solar photovoltaic (PV) sector based on a large-scale survey of employees, companies and institutions. The findings highlight both the barriers and opportunities for women’s advancement in the solar PV sector. One of the main recommendations in the report is to create networks of support and mentorship for women, as well as facilitating dedicated training programmes. Networking and mentoring are both important for career development and cultivating the right skills for advancement. Dedicated training programmes can ensure no one is left behind.
