Description
Political and economic interest in favour of re-use and repair is gathering tremendous momentum. Game-changing digital technologies helping mainstream the second-hand industry are developing fast. Social enterprises, recognised by the European Commission as job and skill creation pioneers in these sectors, face critical decisions concerning how to adapt their activities, skills and support programmes for vulnerable individuals in a rapidly evolving digital world.
The DigiSocCirc project aims to take stock of the threats, opportunities and potential common solutions for social enterprises to adapt to change through three main ways: (1) analyse and map existing digital initiatives and main trends in the re-use and repair sector, (2) identify their impact and opportunity for social inclusion and skills, and (3) promote cross-border cooperation in order to identify and potentially develop common collective innovative digital solutions that provide high added social value.
