As part of the European Year of Skills, the European Commission is organising the Making Skills Count Conference, taking place on the 8th and 9th of June online and in Brussels.

This event will bring together stakeholders, including training providers, guidance practitioners, companies, social partners, chambers of commerce, qualifications agencies, authorities, and public authorities who play a vital role in the concrete delivery of skills.

The main objectives are:

  • To stimulate discussions around gaps in skills development and the changes necessary in public policy and in the business world.
  • To promote the value and visibility of skills. The event will showcase experiences from public authorities, companies and civil society organisations. The event should result in lessons learned on how to address skill imbalances, also by taking advantage of EU initiative and tools.

There will also be time for questions and comments from participants.
