Future Skills conference: Regional dimensions for the future of the energy-intensive industries

Are you an individual or organisation in the chemical sector?

The European Chemical Regions Network (ECRN) is organising a conference on ‘Future Skills: Regional Contribution to Defining the Future of Energy-Intensive Industries’.

The event will take place on the 28th of June from 10:00 – 13:00 CET and will be held physically at the House of the Dutch Provinces in Brussels, Trierstraat 59-61 B-1040 Brussel, fourth floor.

What are the aims of the conference?

This conference will focus on:

  • Green and digital transition: what skills will the chemical sector need to face the twin transition?
  • Hands-on: skilling and re-skilling projects at regional level, examples and best practices

The agenda is as follows:

  1. Welcome by the ECRN (10:00 - 10:05)
  2. Keynote speech - Ms. Schauvliege (10:05 - 10:15)
  3. Presentation of Pact for Skills survey results, Monika Banka (10:15 - 10:25)
  4. Panel 1 – Hands-on: up-skilling and re-skilling projects at regional level (10:25 - 10:55)
  5. Panel 2 – Tools and Funds: how institutions and industry can contribute to regional initiatives (10:55 - 11:15)
  6. Q&A session (11:15 - 11:50)
  7. Summary of the session – conclusion – Thomas Wobben (tbc) (11:50 - 12:00)
  8. Lunch and networking (12:00 - 13:00)
