On 16 –17 November 2022, the Directorate-General for Employment, Social Affairs and Inclusion (DG EMPL) of the European Commission will host its first ever annual flagship event, the European Employment and Social Rights Forum, in Brussels.
At the Forum, European Commission representatives, ministers, and academics, together with policymakers and stakeholders, will discuss the current societal challenges and opportunities presented by the transition to green energy.
For example, pressure on energy supplies due to the war in Ukraine and soaring costs of living across European Union (EU) Member States mean that many people are struggling to pay their bills. If EU is to meet its climate goals (as defined in the European Green Deal), the right policies must be in place to ensure that the transition is socially just, and that no one is left behind.
If you want to be a part of the discussion, register for the event now – you can attend online or in-person.
