Description

Drawing from diverse data sources and case studies from various countries, this OECD report: i) analysis women’s involvement in the social and solidarity economy (SSE) workforce, ii) investigates the obstacles to gender equality in the SSE, and iii) offers policy suggestions to acknowledge and promote women's roles and leadership in both the SSE and the broader economy. While the report covers a range of topics and potential ways forward, ensuring women are given the opportunity to develop skills and competences needed to advance in the sector is one of the key solutions provided. It also proposes specific strategies to enhance women’s engagement in burgeoning SSE sectors, such as digital and green sectors.
