Description

The Bulgarian National Recovery and Resilience Plan (NNRP) aims to facilitate economic and social recovery from the crisis caused by the COVID-19 pandemic as well as to create a more sustainable, equitable and prosperous economy. To this end, the Government has designed a set of measures and reforms that not only restore the potential for economic growth, but also develop and enhance it. The NRRP includes reforms and investments under the following priorities: Innovative Bulgaria; Green Bulgaria; Connected Bulgaria; Fair Bulgaria.

''Innovative Bulgaria'' foresees a series of measures on education and skills, with the objective is to improve the quality and coverage of education and training, with a focus on promoting analytical skills and developing creative thinking; increasing the ability of people to timely adapt to technological transformation and to the respective changes in the labour market; and fostering accelerated modernization and digitalization of educational approaches, methods and practices; improving the digital skills of the workforce and focus active labour market policies on improving the qualification and skills of the workforce, to better match labour market developments.
