In 2023, members of the Pact continued making key steps in implementing and investing in upskilling and reskilling activities for the working age population in Europe. According to survey results, members’ concerted efforts in upskilling and reskilling have reached nearly 1.5 million individuals.

The Pact for Skills Forum took place on 21 and 22 March 2024 in Brussels, Belgium, and was livestreamed online. The event was attended by around 150 in-person participants and almost 500 online from across Europe, representing a wide range of different organisations involved in the Pact for Skills.

The report examines AI’s impact on skills in jobs not requiring specialized AI expertise. Management and business skills are most in demand in AI-exposed occupations. However, there’s evidence that demand for these skills is starting to decline
