Description

Apprenticeships have been the target of an unprecedented number of EU and Member State policies in the past decade. This briefing note, produced by the European Centre for the Development of Vocational Training (Cedefop), provides an overview of how apprenticeships can provide a solution towards long-term employability and ensuring companies’ skills needs are met. It provides a snapshot of the status of apprenticeships across the EU, the various ways in which they are operated, and suggests a common vision for apprenticeships moving forward. The publication is also available on Cedefop’s website in German, Greek, Spanish, French, Italian, Polish, and Portuguese.
