VET toolkit for tackling early leaving

Cedefop, the European Centre for the Development of Vocational Training, developed this toolkit to help policymakers, practitioners, guidance services, and other stakeholders address early leaving in education and training. In particular, the agency looked for good practices in identifying and monitoring early leavers, preventing early leaving, and helping early leavers reintegrate into education and training or the labour market. The toolkit includes:

• a reflection tool for policymakers
• a reflection tool for VET providers
• evaluation plans for policymakers and VET providers
• a list of good practices from across the EU
• tools and instruments developed by successful interventions
• a list of ‘quick wins’ that provide efficient solutions to early leaving
