International mapping study on good practices of applied research in vocational education and training

The European Training Foundation conducted a review of how applied research has been used to inform VET practices in the Netherlands, Spain, Canada and Turkey. In particular, it looks at the organisation, policy frameworks, and financial mechanisms used in the four different VET systems and the resulting learning benefits for students who participated in applied research activities. The report ends with a comparative analysis of the good practices, including a review of how well-functioning VET systems can be developed in a variety of contexts.
