The future of vocational education and training in Europe

This report on the future of vocational education and training (VET) in Europe incorporates five years of research on the topic by the European Centre for the Development of Vocational Training (Cedefop) and experts associated with the agency. The report presents an analytical framework that can be used to understand and compare VET systems. The report presents the framework, which incorporates 50 different dimensions of analysis, as well as examples of how the framework can be applied. The 50 dimensions are categorized across three main perspectives:

1. Epistemological and pedagogical
2.  Education system
3. Socioeconomic and labour market

This approach is expected to be particularly useful for policymakers and researchers exploring VET or activities related to VET.
