Conditions

Overview of eligibility criteria

Applicants must be citizens of the European Union or associated countries according to MERIT rules, and must be enrolled in the MERIT master’s programme “Industrial Engineering and Management” (MARM) at TalTech. They should be full-time students, not on academic leave at the time of application, and must apply for a specific mobility activity such as an international course, research visit, or internship. Additionally, they are required to submit a clear purpose and plan detailing how the funds will be used.

Overview of award criteria

The selection of applicants is based on the quality and relevance of the proposed mobility activity, as well as its potential impact on the student’s skills and alignment with the goals of the MERIT project. Consideration is also given to diversity and inclusion, with particular attention to applicants from underrepresented backgrounds or regions with a low DESI index.

Procedures

Application procedures

Free-form applications must be submitted via e-mail to the Department of Mechanical and Industrial Engineering.

Application support available

Each application must include the student’s code, full name, and bank account number, along with a brief description of the planned mobility activity. This description should specify the location, time, duration, purpose, and the name of the receiving organization or the event organizer. Applicants must also provide an estimated budget covering costs such as travel, accommodation, and participation fees, and confirm that no double funding will occur—meaning they will not receive overlapping grants for the same activity.
