Description

The Italian National Recovery and Resilience Plan (NNRP) focuses on three main overarching priorities:

  1. green transition;
  2. digital transition;
  3. economic and social resilience.

Priority 2 is particularly relevant for upskilling and reskilling as the NRRP will support actions to promote digital skills of both the general population and the workforce, with € 13.4 billion to be invested in supporting the digital transition including through training. Moreover, under Priority 3 investments in upskilling and reskilling are foreseen, particularly targeted at SMEs and the unemployed.

A wide range of actors are responsible for the implementation of the National Recovery and Resilience Programme in Italy, from Ministries to regions and local authorities (e.g. municipalities). However, the Prime Minister's Office has the responsibility to monitor the progress with the implementation of the NRRP, and cooperate with the other public authorities involved. A national platform acts as a one-stop-shop with information on key priorities and funding opportunities.

The NNRP is available at this link.
