Description
The JTF in Romania is managed by the Ministry of Investments and European Projects, responsible for the implementation of the programme across the following regions: HUNEDOARA County - West Region; DOLJ County - South West Region; GALATI County - South East Region; PRAHOVA County- South Muntenia Region; MURES County - Centre Region; and GORJ County - South West Region.
The Just Transition Programme 2021-2027 is structured around 7 priorities, 6 of which are dedicated to mitigating the socio-economic impact of the transition to climate neutrality in each of the six counties and 1 technical assistance priority. The programme aims to support environmentally sustainable economic diversification, especially of the small and medium-sized productive entrepreneurial sector, including female entrepreneurship, in order to increase the competitiveness and capacity of the affected local economies to generate sustainable, secure jobs with an attractive salary level.
