Description
The EDRF/JTF programme suppports the Rhenish coalfield and the northern Ruhr area, which are particularly affected by the phase-out of coal-fired power generation. The focus is primarily on necessary adjustments resulting from the loss of jobs and training places in the field of fossil energy production. The programme will support measures such as vocational training for sustainable development and qualification, education, training, retraining and advisory measures.
The Ministerium für Wirtschaft, Innovation, Digitalisierung und Energie des Landes Nordrhein-Westfalen (Ministry for Economic Affairs, Innovation, Digitalisation and Energy of the State of North Rhine-Westphalia) is the main public institutions responsible for the implementation of the JTF.
