The Ministry of European Investments and Projects is one of the public authorities responsible for the implementation of ESF+ in Romania and manages the Education and Employment Programme 2021-2027.
This programme focuses on nine key EU policy objectives: (1) modernising labour market institutions, (2) capitalising on the potential of young people on the labor market (Youth Employment), (3) increasing access to the labor market for all, (4) entrepreneurship and social economy, (5) improving children's participation in education, (6) preventing early school leaving and increasing access to and participation of disadvantaged groups in education, (7) increasing the quality of vocational education and training to ensure equity of the system and better adaptation to the dynamics of the labor market and to the challenges of innovation and technological progress, (8) increasing the accessibility, attractiveness and quality of vocational and technical education, (9) strengthening the population's participation in the lifelong learning process to facilitate transitions and mobility.
All these nine key priorities include re-skilling and up-skilling actions for ESF+ target groups, such as workers, employers, social partners and NGOs, vulnerable groups, jobseekers, unemployed, youth, pupils, students.
