Description

The Ministry of Development Funds and Regional Policy is the main public authority responsible for the implementation of ESF+ in Poland. It manages the European Funds for the Social Development 2021-2027 Programme (Fundusze Europejskie dla Rozwoju Społecznego 2021-2027), which is the main tool for financing initiatives on social issues in Polan. The programme has a budget of EUR 4.9 billion, fully funded by the ESF+, and includes five priorities:

  1. Skills;
  2. Childcare and work-life balance;
  3. Accessibility and services for people with disabilities;
  4. Social cohesion and health;
  5. Social innovations.

Priority 1 on Skills is fully devoted to financing initiatives related to upskilling and reskilling. Notably, this includes interventions on: 

  • development of skills and qualifications of the employees;
  • skills forecasting, with a particular focus on green and digital economy;
  • training and consulting on adjusting to changing skills needs in the economy;
  • evelopment of teaching tools addressing key competences;
  • development of the qualifications system.
