Description
The National Operational Programme on Sustainability and Resource Use Efficiency is one of the main instruments for the implementation of ESF+ in Portugal. This Operational Programme aims to anticipate and adapt to the great global changes in the field of energy, climate change and more efficient use of resources along a dynamic perspective that links competitiveness to sustainability. It aims to contribute to the fulfilment of the Europe 2020 strategy, in particular regarding sustainable growth, namely by:
- responding to the transitional challenges to a low carbon economy
- developing a more efficient use of resources
- promoting greater resilience to climate risks and disasters
Please note that this Operational Programme refers to the programming period 2014-2020, as the as the Operational Programme for 2021-2027 is not yet available.
