Description

Regione Umbria is the public authority responsible for the ERDF implementation in the Umbria region in Italy. It manages the regional ERDF Operational Programme 2021-2027, which includes the following priorities:

  • Research and innovation: supporting research and innovation and technological advancements; enabling citizens and companies to reap the benefits of digitalisation; strengthening sustainable growth; developing competences and skills for smart specialisation;
  • Fighting climate changes and transitioning towards a zero net carbon emission economy: promoting energy efficiency and renewable energy; promoting climate change adaptation; promoting access to water; supporting the transition to a circular economy
  • Sustainable urban mobility: promoting sustainable urban mobility for a net zero carbon economy; promoting regional mobility; reinforcing the role of the culture sector and sustainable tourism in promoting  social and economic development 
  • Cohesion, sustainability, attractiveness: Promoting inclusive social, economic and environmental development, culture, sustainable tourism and security in urban areas; promoting the development of non-urban areas.
