Overview

Objectives

The objective of this call is to foster digital transformation across the civil engineering and construction sectors around Europe. Additionally, the scholarships aim to benefit students from the project's high-quality education in digital areas and promote equality in the field of digital twins for infrastructures and cities.

Activities/actions supported

The objectives will be acheived through the launch of an Executive Master in Digital Twins for Infrastructure & Cities and through the creation of a Center of Excellence (CoE) in Digital Twins for Civil Infrastructures & Cities (CoE).

Overview of eligibility criteria

To be considered for this scholarship one must have applied to the master through the Apply section for the Digital Twins for Complex Infrastructures and Urban Ecosystems. They must also have the availability to attend the online live sessions and to attend the three workshops that wil be held. They must also hold a bachelor's degree issued by a recognized University in the field of Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Engineering, Architecture or any similar technical degree and have an English language skills equivalent to a minimum of IELTS 6.5 with 5.5 in each subtest. Applicants should also have basic skills in any programming language.

Overview of award criteria

Academic merit will be the predominant factor in deciding who gets the scholarship. In case of receiving more than 200 applications per year, the committee has agreed a set the following guidelines: Priority will be given to students from the EU and associated countries to the DEP. Furthermore the selection will contribute to promoting diversity in terms of gender, age and geographical distribution, as well as contribute to promoting the access to the master of students of lower income. Finally the selection will aim to contribute to promoting the training of professionals of SMEs and entrepreneurs.

Application procedures

Those interested must read the funding opportuntiy page and fill the online form avaliable on the BME-e-platform (Course: Digital Twins for Complex Infrastructures and Urban Ecosystems 2024). Following this, candidates will be required to complete four forms to evaluate their background and upload various documents including their accredited degree certificate, their proof of English language skills, their university transcript and a short video summarising their interest in the matter.
