The inter-speciality cancer training programme helps to deliver a more skilled and mobile cancer workforce through cross-border training and information sharing.  This call aims to extend the implementation coverage of the first cohort of the inter-speciality cancer training programme through enrolling new cancer centres, as well as additional trainees and trainers.

Activities/actions supported

Activities to be funded under this calls  will roll-out the second cohort of training opportunties, and, in addition, will organise a dissemination event to present the outcomes of the training. More specifically, proposals are expected include activities to train medical doctors and nurses and other specialised staff working in cancer centres in the three specialties of clinical oncology, surgery, radiology and radiation oncology with the aim of optimising the inter-speciality approach and cooperation. The training programme will follow a coaching and mentoring approach with regular reporting and assessment of skills developed. In addition, proposals should provide training in at least 15 Member States, with the participation of trainees from a minimum of 100 different cancer centres across the EU. Participation of trainees from Ukraine should also be foreseen.
