Description

This academic article explores how targeted skills development can lead to a more environmentally sustainable health care sector. Because this is still a growing field of thought within the sector, very few health-care workers already posses the skills necessary to switch towards more sustainable practices. This paper begins with an overview of previous efforts undertaken to advance this field, the skills and knowledge that need to be developed, and how health education can be adapted to ensure sectoral practices evolve to become more environmentally friendly.
