Description
Digital skills have become increasingly important due to the twin transitions and the lasting effects of COVID-19; however, there is a gap both across and within EU Member States on the level of digital skills citizens possess. This white paper highlights key elements that characterise the digital skills gap in the EU, maps industry and policy responses, and outlines how industry can play a role in changing the ecosystem moving forward. It focuses especially on improving educational opportunities, upskilling and reskilling the workforce, increasing collaboration on digital skills, and increasing the inclusion of women in ICT. The report includes a sectoral analysis as well as four case studies from Finland, France, Germany and Italy to explore different contexts.
