Description
This paper outlines the conclusions from the ''‘Building lifelong learning systems: skills for green and inclusive societies in the digital era’'' held on 21-25 June 2021. It argues that supporting lifelong and life-wide learning for all, needs to be based on we and agile systems that make learning part of social and economic transformation, and that a a paradigm shift is needed to move away from an exclusive focus on formal education and training provision and one-size-fits-all solutions, towards lifelong learning systems that offer flexible and individualised pathways for each learner, combining learning in different settings, and that recognise the skills of people wherever they are developed.
