Description

The European Centre for the Development of Vocational Training (Cedefop) conducted a study comparing the type and frequency of workplace learning activities and self-regulated learning strategies adopted crowdworkers. The study focuses on two major types of platform work: online freelancing, which usually consists of complex projects or activities, and microwork, where projects are broken down into small units of work to be carried out for pay. The paper provides an overview of how individuals engage with these types of platform work, as well as a look at how these workers engage in upskilling and reskilling activities.
