Skills anticipation and intelligence are essential for the twin transition, but current data collection is not sufficient for providing effective VET programmes and skills formation systems. This policy brief reviews skills anticipation trends in Europe, highlights the need to accelerate innovation and calls attention to lack of political awareness as a key challenge to this process. It also notes the importance of training skills anticipation and the skills ecosystem stakeholders on AI and big data.
