Description
This paper begins with a review of the currently in place construction training regulations from 1994 and argues they are obsolete. It is recommended that the training regulations should be updated to reflect the skills and knowledge needed in the present construction sector, and an outline of the principles of this new regulation are presented. The paper argues this can be done in a way that additionally increases the attractiveness of the occupation.
