Meeting report: Pact for Skills Roundtable with Commissioners Schmit and Breton for the Agri-food Ecosystem

This briefing reports on the outcomes of the high-level roundtable on skills with the agri-food ecosystem, chaired Commissioners Schmit and Breton, which brought together high-level representatives from industry, sectoral organisations, social partners, as well as education and training organisations. The discussion aimed at identifying skills gaps and deficiencies whilst reflecting on ways to address them by mobilising relevant stakeholders to create skills partnerships under a dedicated framework. The emphasis was on the potential benefits of digital and green technologies as well as the current challenges faced across the food supply chain.
