Management of Social and Solidarity Economy Organizations and Enterprises

Published through the United Nations Inter-Agency Task Force on Social and Solidarity Economy, this research paper outlines the knowledge, economic skills, and legal skills required to manage and obtain adequate resources for social and solidarity economy organisations and enterprises. It begins by outlining the characteristics of these organisations and what resources are needed from governments, job applicants, impact investors, or social finance institutes. The paper then outlines the skills needed to obtain these resources, and finishes by outlining signalling mechanisms that can be used by social enterprises.
