Description
Through this paper, the Trade and Agriculture Directorate of the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) covers current state of play regarding labour and skills in the agro-food sector. The paper begins with a review of policies that have the potential to address both labour and skills shortages, noting the country-specific contexts and the opportunities for public and private collaboration. It also goes through the efforts that can be made in the sector to improve the image of agriculture as a career choice, better align skills development with the needs of the sector, and promote continuous learning.
