Reporting on research commissioned by Green Tech Skillnet, this report examines the role hydrogen can play in Ireland’s energy transition and the talent and skills required to achieve this. Because of Ireland’s wind energy resources, there is significant potential for the production of green hydrogen. In order to both encourage and prepare for this development, investment in relevant skills development is essential. The discussion on skills is presented primarily in the discussion on the case for incentivization, as well as in the final conclusions.
