As part of the Apprenticeships Development for Universal Lifelong Learning and Training (ADULT) project led by the International Labour Organization (ILO), this thematic report highlights the role apprenticeship training plays in lifelong learning. It begins with an introduction on adult apprenticeships, including the various types of apprenticeships as well as their policy context. It then dives into different methods of apprenticeship provision, how to ensure programmes meet the needs of adults, and what can be done to support the future of adult apprenticeships.
