To meet the targets of REPowerEU, the EU’s renewable energy sector needs to grow substantially to accelerate the clean energy transition and increase Europe's energy independence.

On the 21st of March 2023, trade associations and representatives of clean technologies came together to form the Renewable Energies Large Scale Partnership under the Pact for Skills. The Partnership aims to provide workers with the skills needed to manufacture and install renewable energy technologies to achieve the EU’s energy and climate objectives.

Against this backdrop the EUSEW Policy Session, “Skills for renewable energy” on 20 June from 14:30 – 16:00, will present the Renewables Skills Partnership and will aim to attract new members to join. The event will discuss skills needs in the EU renewable energy sector and actions needed to ensure that adequate and sufficiently trained professionals are available for a fast, steady and equitable deployment of clean energy solutions.
