Description
Labour shortages have become a significant issue for the European labour market. But up- and re-skilling opportunities like micro-credentials have emerged as a solution, offering a flexible and targeted approach for developing skills and competences needed in the labour market. As a result, these opportunities are taking a central position in European policy.
‘The use of micro-credentials to support upskilling and reskilling’ Peer Learning Event will bring experts together to discuss how micro-credentials can be used to support up-skilling and re-skilling needs.
Key topics
- Good practice examples and approaches from Pact for Skills members on the use of micro-credentials for upskilling and reskilling.
- Perceived obstacles to and success factors in using micro-credentials as a vehicle to upskill and reskill workers.
- Benefits of using micro-credentials for upskilling and reskilling.
- Potential lessons learnt and recommendations for Pact for Skills members considering the development of micro-credentials.
The event aims to give Pact members good practice examples of using micro-credentials to upskill and reskill workers, discuss obstacles encountered by these initiatives and strategies for overcoming them.
