Description

European regions are grappling with several significant challenges including persistent labour shortages, changing skills needs, and demographic shifts affecting the availability of skilled workers. This event aims to highlight the issues regions are facing and exchange ideas and solutions to enhance upskilling and reskilling at regional level to address current and future needs.
Key topics:
- Lessons learned from existing regional Pact members
- Opportunities to strengthen regional cooperation within the Pact community and the large-scale skills partnerships
- Relevant EU-level initiatives to boost upskilling and reskilling at regional level
During this peer-learning activity, participants will hear from experts, exchange ideas with stakeholders across Europe, and upscale good practices to enhance upskilling and reskilling at the regional level in their day-to-day work and better address current and future skills needs.
They will also learn how existing regional large-scale partnerships under the Pact for Skills are addressing skills development challenges at the regional level, including lessons learned and challenges faced to date; and discuss potential ideas to enhance regional cooperation and build synergies, through the Pact and with large-scale skills partnerships.
